November Lifelink eNews

I’m writing to you from Starved Rock State Park, where the USA leaders have gathered for their annual prayer retreat. We had a wonderful couple of days together. We are also blessed with the strategy of what we are to do as we move into the future meetings together. To read the entire newsletter, click on November_2010_eNews.pdf

New Building For Faith In Christ Fellowship

This last week has been a memorable week at Faith In Christ Fellowship! We had our one year anniversary on October the 5th and our one month anniversary at our new building! Through it all, we have seen God’s provision at every step. It was a real blessing to have Ty from Christ Church come along to our first meeting in the building to bring a blessing. That was a true encouragement to all of us.

It remains a huge blessing that we were able to buy the building at all, but in the end, the sellers dropped the price $300,000 and lowered the interest rate 2 and 1/2 percent. It came within a thousand dollars a month of renting a space so we feel completely and utterly blessed.

Since we have moved in, the congregation got busy and has begun renovations and painting to transform it into a wonderful place of worship and fellowship. Everyone continues to pitch in to help.

New Building For Risen Lord Community Church

It’s a real time of celebration for Risen Lord Community Church in St. Charles, MO. They have just purchased a building in the center of the historic downtown of St. Charles, MO. They have much to do as they will use the main floor for services and the second floor for offices and children’s ministries. Each floor as 6,000 square feet.

They call the building “Chapel on Main Street” and will share the building with other churches and for weddings. It is their hope that this building will be treasured by the community as it is their goal to be a very active part of the community.

Stay tuned for updates as they are readying themselves for the new launch into this historic site.

Mike Rimmer - Radio Presenter

Mike Rimmer, part of Church Alive, in Birminham, UK, has been a significant part of the contemporary Christian radio scene.

According to Tony Cummings who is Cross Rythms music editor and has been involved in the music world for years, “Mike’s work is pivotal in the whole development of the Christian music world in the UK. Mike is known by everybody in the Christian Music world from the smallest unknown artist through to the biggest Christian star.”

Mike has been working in Radio since 1982. There was no Christian radio in the UK, but Mike had a vision for what it should be like and what it could do. In 1991, Mike was asked to be a presenter for a Bible Week’s radio program and he has been a radio presenter ever since.

Below is an 8 minute mini-documentary that gives you a glimpse into Mike’s radio Program called “Rimmerama” on Cross Rhythms radio. It is a funny, entertainment show that at the same time challenges people who do not have a relationship with Jesus to think about it.
