June 2012 UK Leaders Prayer Retreat

We experienced a real anointed time at the annual leader’s prayer retreat at Hothorpe Hall. Although it is a prayer retreat, there were four keynote speakers.

Jonny Shepherd Interview

Jonny Shepherd produced a new worship album titled “The Sun And The Sattelites”. I had the great opportunity to sit down and visit with him when I was last in Rugby.

Jonny wrote the following:

We have had the successful launch of the new album. Success is a funny thing where God is concerned – it’s often the hidden things he is concerned with rather than the seen. However, the ‘seen’ has been very pleasing!

The Sun & The Satellites has received a glowing review from Louder Than The Music, Sing Sing Sing has been played on the UCB Unsigned show, I’ve been interviewed on Radio Plus in Coventry, and our launch party really got people buzzing!

I’ve been leading worship since around 1996 (memory is beginning to fade…I think the year is about right?), and was worship pastor at Rugby Christian Life Centre for around 10 years. Through that time I’ve led worship for a range of events including those organised by Youth For Christ, New Wine, Fresh Fire UK and also led for the Jesus Culture England 2006 conference.

I now attend New Life Church in Rugby and continue to write material for a new projects in 2012.  This includes the upcoming album ‘The Sun & The Satellites’ and an as yet untitled childrens worship recording.

Through my whole journey as a worship leader God has give me a passion for writing new worship music to serve the church that is relevant to todays culture, and to see the standards in worship increase in church.

India Update by Francis and Alison Pidugu

Dear supporters and praying friends,

We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your prayers and support for our ministry in India. Over the past few months we have been greatly encouraged by the responses we have received from the people whose lives have been touched through our various projects.
“The Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes”. Psalm 118:23. This verse is true in our ministry and in our family life. As you read this update we pray that you will be encouraged to know you are making a difference in the lives of the people through your giving and your prayers.
Warmest regards

Francis, Alison, Abigail and Joel
