Girl Talk 2012: TREASURED
Cambridge
Girl Talk 2012: Treasured
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness”
(Jeremiah 33:3)
Girl Talk 2012: Treasured is a one-day conference
for women who want to be identified and shaped by God’s love.
Speakers Include:
Abby King
Abby King has ministered in churches across the UK and USA. She
currently lives in Cambridge, where she teaches young children and is
working towards her Masters degree in Biblical Interpretation. Abby
relaxes by reading, playing her cello and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Anona Coates
Anona Coates grew up in an abusive home. On her first day at work at
the age of 15, God broke into her life when she met her husband-to-be
Gerald. A co-founder of the Pioneer Network of churches, her passion is
for evangelism and to see women find their true identity in Christ.
Carole Rawley
Throughout the 30 years of her pastoral and teaching ministry, Carole’s
passion has been to inspire women to recognise and outwork their unique
callings and giftings. Carole is married to Ian, and together they lead
New Life Church, Cambridge. They have four grown-up children.
Hannah Overton
Hannah studied Theology with Education at Cambridge University before
marrying Jim, the director of Cambridge & District YFC. She has been a
church youth leader for ten years and is still only 27! Hannah’s passion is
to see girls live in the purity that is theirs in Christ.
Helen Watts
Helen is married to Steve and together they are part of the eldership team
at Church Alive in Birmingham. They have grown up children and an
adorable little granddaughter. Helen loves people and is rarely happier
than when she’s with friends, enjoying the life of God together. Reading
great books and gazing at the stars are close runners-up, though!
Kristina Gray
Kristina has a passion for the lost and marginalised in society; her heart is
to see people empowered and find their worth and true identity in Christ.
Having studied a Masters in Development Management, she has worked
in marketing and fundraising for charities, and has founded
Opportunity2Hope, a humanitarian initiative of Global Horizons.
Kristina lives in Rugby with her husband and three young children.
Shan Petry
Shan has been a teacher for over 20 years. She is fascinated by people
and their similarities and differences, whether cultural, linguistic, spiritual
or anything else. She currently works as a teacher of the deaf in
Cambridgeshire, is married to Clive and has two small-ish children.
