About the New Site
If you’re reading this now you can obviously see that we’ve done something new with the official Lifelink International website. For a numbers of reasons (not least to freshen up the design) we felt it was time to do a major overhaul. We hope you enjoy it.
Being a bit of a web junky (though not nearly as much as many people I know), I thought it would only be appropriate for me to share with you some of the new features of the site that I’m excited about. First, there is the new and very nifty scrolling events banner on the main page. Paying some attention to this will mean that you’ll be made aware of some of the key events that are coming up. It will also serve to direct your attention to new info or resources on the site such as audio and video from Celebration 2009 or info on how to get involved with O2H.
Next, there is a whole new section of the site which we have called ‘Media.’ When you first arrive you’ll see previews of what is most current in the areas of audio, video and the blog along with a large featured video. Click more for any of these to see our full (and growing) library of audio/video/blog entries. And while I’m on it, if you are unfamiliar with what a blog is all about you should first pat yourself on the back because by reading this you have already found your way to the blog. The Lifelink blog is simply a place where short, article-type entries will be made by various people. Some will be reviews of past events or info about future ones. Other entries will be more theological or devotional in nature. Still other may simply be a news flash or some other useful info.
Lastly (at least for now), I’m very happy that our ever-expanding video library, which we have courtesy of the hard and dedicated work of our friend Jim Munson, is much more integrated and available on this new site. You will see one featured video on the front page and then have the chance to visit the Media page for more. Not only that, but video is also featured on the About Lifelink page, the Churches & Partners page and nearly all of the individual churches/partners pages.
That’s all for now. Please feel free to comment on this post with your own comments, questions, ideas, etc.
