ACCELERATE:Training Initiative
The Accelerate into Mission course will run from mid-January to the end of June 2013. The first term will be a packed 10-week foundation course, with 5 days in college and some weekends away working with churches. The course will provide excellent teaching on the Bible, kingdom and church, together with training in preaching/teaching skills. This term will develop you in evangelism and team ministry into churches, which will be good preparation for the overseas cross-cultural mission trip. In the second term, as well as completing assignments, we have a 28-day mission opportunity in India, which could be extended, if so desired.
Spring term 2013 (Mid Jan - end of March)
Teaching:
- Studying the New Testemament
- Sharing your Faith
- The Kingdom of God & the Nature of the Church
- Old Testament Overview
Practical training:
- Personal discipleship
- Evangelism training
- Building team for mission
Summer term 2013 (April - June)
Optional: Short - term cross-cultural mission (28 days in Goa, India)
Costs: This course only offers you the full study option-
The Full-Study option:
With this option you receive full lecture notes, participate in lectures, undertake reading assignments, prepare written assignments, have access to the library and support from tutors. You engage in all aspects of practical training and personal development.
For the full course (3 modules and 3 practical training courses) - £2,000
Short-term mission trip – You would pay - UK and international travel plus £300 for food and accommodation.
Evangelism and Ministry training: in Rugby and some outreach in churches in the UK.
Mission: Goa in India with a young missionary couple who are transforming their community.
